Ascension Pick Jazz

The Ascension pick is designed to elevate your playing. If you're looking for a performance pick that will not slip or turn in your fingers, this is it. WE have been selling the Ascension pick for a few years made from Acetal (delrin)and hand burnished, this is the next step in its evolution. 

The Ascension Pick was designed in-house for maximum speed and grip. The sculpted finger grips have sections that are both raised above the surface and relieved below the surface, giving plenty of purchase to cling to. It doesn't feel like tread grip, sandpaper or cat's tongue, it instead uses longer lines perpendicular to the rotational force of playing. 

The point is sharp in the vertical plane for a for a clean point of contact, with a little thickness in the horizontal plane to enhance the durability of the point. We've been considering every aspect of this pick to make it play to the highest standards. 

The Ascension pick is available in five thicknesses, from 1.5mm to 3.0mm. The carving in the faces of the pick is raised, so a 3mm pick at the sculpture is roughly 3.3mm in thickness. It is available in Standard shape (approximately the size of a Fender 351), a common jazz size (which is where the design started) and a JXL size between. 

We print these in resin in-house, and have found that the resin has generally better wear characteristics than even most common pick materials.
