D'Addario XTE0942 09-42 Ga XT Coated Electric Guitar Strings

 D'Addario's latest entry in the coated string category is the XT series. Made from nickel plated steel, the XT swries strings will last longer and retain tone for longer than a normal set. We feel that in general, if you want to buy coated strings for longevity, you come out ahead in paying the extra. The coating on these is exceptionally thin, and you likely won't feel it other than noticing a little extra slickness to your string, in case you're one of those people who typically doesn't like the feel of a coated string. 

The 09-42 gauge set is a common extra light set for electric guitars, and the most common set for guitars equipped with floating tremolo systems.
