D'Addario XTE1046 10-46 Ga XT Coated Electric Guitar Strings

 D'Addario's latest entry in the coated string category is the XT series. Made from nickel plated steel, the XT swries strings will last longer and retain tone for longer than a normal set. We feel that in general, if you want to buy coated strings for longevity, you come out ahead in paying the extra. The coating on these is exceptionally thin, and you likely won't feel it other than noticing a little extra slickness to your string, in case you're one of those people who typically doesn't like the feel of a coated string. 

The 10-46 gauge set is one of the most common and traditional sets for standard tuning in every genre, and we especially recommend them if you have a 24 3/4" scale instrument like  Gibson Les Paul for a little added tension.
