Gotoh is our brand of choice when it comes to quality versus price. The quality of their builds are as good as or better than many brands that are more expensive. 
This bridge system is a drop in replacement for vintage modern trems - specifically 6 hole systems with wider spacing. The most critical dimension on this one is the spacing of the mounting holes - at 56mm. We find this doesn't fit Squiers or narrower true vintage style trems. For that, the Babicz narrow spacing system will be your best bet. 
The trem arm is secured via set-screw like more modern trems, so no threads getting crossed. The block saddles and steel construction makes for improved tone and sustain.
